Swimming Carnival

A huge congratulations to all of the students from Murringo Public who competed at the Young Small Schools Swimming Carnival on Tuesday.

The students went above and beyond, competing in so many events, often surprising themselves with what they could do.

A huge shout out to those students who did extremely well on the day as well, with all of their hard work paying off. We have a number of students heading off to District - Max, Beau, Jack, Sienna, Jimmy, Zaviar, Georgia, Tahlea, Nat, Charlie, Hugh and Malayah.

Well done to the age champions - Sienna, Jack, Georgia and age champion runners up - Beau, Max, Nat and Malayah.

A massive congrats to Georgia Wheeler who smashed the 9yr girls 50m freestyle record on the day (previously held by Emily Johnson from Murringo) by almost 2 seconds.

The parent/teacher relay team (Prue Sherwood, Renee McGovern, Brad McKinnon and Heather Shore) were also amazing, coming in equal first in the race and really impressing with their skills.
