Welcome from our principal

Welcome to Murringo Public School, a small school with a big heart and a strong sense of community. On Wiradjuri lands in the beautiful Murringo district, our school is a place where every child is known, valued and cared for. At Murringo Public School, we live our motto — Every Student, Every Chance, Every Day — by ensuring that each learner has the opportunity to grow academically, socially and emotionally within a supportive and inclusive environment.

Our dedicated staff work in partnership with families and the wider community to provide a rich and varied education that inspires curiosity, creativity and a love of learning. Our teaching and learning programs are rich, engaging, and grounded in high expectations for all. Alongside strong academic foundations, students enjoy opportunities to participate in sport, the creative arts, environmental and STEAM programs, and leadership experiences that build character and connection participating in events not just at a school but also a network and State level regularly.

Students at Murringo Public School benefit from small class sizes, personalised learning, and the close-knit relationships that come from being part of a connected engaged learning community. Our school leaders

At Murringo Public School, we believe in fostering leadership at every level. We provide diverse opportunities for both staff and students to take on leadership roles, encouraging growth, responsibility, and collaboration. Our programs empower students to develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills, while our professional development initiatives support staff in enhancing their leadership capabilities. Together, we are shaping the leaders of tomorrow.

Our student 'Leadership Team' is made up of each years Year Six students. These students engage in leadership development in school, as part of our network of schools and through Department programs like GRIP.

Our expert staff demonstrate their leadership by providing additional initiatives to extend student learning, e.g. Maker's Empire STEAM challenges, network debating days, Temora Small School Bi-annual musical, sporting coaches in addition to innovating teaching and learning programs.
